Minutes of Meeting :

 

1. The Mountaineer cum Group Managing Director of TR Group of Companies, Mr T. Ravichandran called the meeting to order at 8pm, welcomed the group and called for self-introductions. He introduced Dato' Abdul Rahim as Project advisor and Datin Zaiton as Project Manager to the representative .

2. The project advisor, Dato' Abdul Rahim Abu Bakar gave his opening speech and suggested few issues related to the project.

   - to appoint a Patron who is very well known all over the country

   - every letter should be personalised / customised

   - list down all the companies to be approached

3. Mr. Ravichandran addressed Agenda Item No. 1 “Introduction of The Project”. He has introduced himself to the representatives by highlighting his experience on mountain climbing and also about Petro Search Advisory Sdn Bhd the organiser of this project. He has also highlighted the project mission, objectives, proposed activities and name of beneficiaries to the representatives. Mr Ravichandran also stated that the collection target from donors is RM2 million. This amount will be distributed 100% to the beneficiaries as follows. The total cost for climbing will fully funded by his companies-TR Group of Companies.

4. Mr Ravichandran then addressed Agenda Item No. 2 “Selection of Committee Members”. The project will be advised by Dato’ Abdul Rahim bin Abu Bakar, the Former Vice President of Petronas and will be monitored by Datin Zaiton binti Roslan. List of selected committee members has been represented to the representatives. All representatives agreed on the committee chosen. Any objection or changes will be notified on the next meeting. Mr Ravichandran welcomed ideas from representatives on the activities to be conducted and he also agreed to participate in any activities conducted by the recipients.

5. Mr. Kanaraj from Persatuan Kanak-kanak Cacat Akal Selangor & Wilayah Persekutuan  (PKCASWP)             has recommended for committees’ biodata to be included in the project profile furthermore he has suggested for the committee  members to meet on monthly basis to update on latest activities and status for the project.

6. Ms. Nurina, from MAKNA has suggested that we should conduct a press conference and to organize a soft launch to create public awareness towards the project. She has proposed to arrange for media interview with broadcasting companies i.e TV3, radio station etc.

7. Ms Imelda Ishak from MAKNA also proposed to get recommendation from 'Kementerian Budaya dan Sukan (KBS)' to consolidate this project.

8. Mr. Kanaraj of PKCASWP also proposed to invite a representative from 'Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat (JKM)' and the organizer we will make arrangement on this matter

9. Mr. Jaya from Bethany Homes proposed to set up banner for this project to be placed at the Charity Homes. Mr Ravichandran has explained that this can only be done if we managed to find a sponsor.  Additionally, he suggested that Mr Ravichandran to lead a group for hiking and other out door activities organized by the Charity Homes.

10. Ms Wan Nurina from MAKNA has mentioned that they will organize a 'Duck Race Event' on 4^th September 2005 and will arrange for our participation.

11. MAKNA and Bethany Homes has requested for few photographs of Mr Ravichandran and to be inserted in the newsletter.

12. Mr Ravichandran has mentioned that the next meeting will be held in the large meeting room which can accommodate all the members.

13. Mr Ravichandran adjourned the meeting at 9.20pm and he gratitude all the representatives.
