Minutes of Meeting :

 

  1. The Mountaineer cum Group Managing Director of TR Group of Companies, Mr T. Ravichandran called the meeting to order at 8.45pm, welcomed the group and introduce the new members from FRIM headed by Cik Wahayu and her fellow members, Apple Magazine – Ms Ada and Ungku Suraya and Mr Yong from KIWANIS

  2. The project advisor, Dato' Abdul Rahim Abu Bakar gave his opening speech and brief the rest of the members about Mr Ravichandran the mountaineer 48th Merdeka Celebration Climb – Mt Ararat, Turkey

  3. Dato' Abdul Rahim Abu Bakar addressed Agenda Item No. 3 “FRIM-EVEREST Charity Climb”. Dato’ stressed on identifying the events / activities to be held at FRIM on this coming 25th September 2006.

  4. Mr Ravichandran also informed all the members that he had visited FRIM to identify the activities, to name few of the suggested activities as follows :

    • Opening Speech by the VIP invited

    • Demonstration on the technical climb by Mr Ravichandran and safety briefing

    • He welcomed the members from the charity house to join him for the technical climb

    • Cik Wahayu proposed that for the kids we could take the 2nd trail which is only 2km

    • He further informed that the events start at 8.00 a.m., location map will be provided to all members. Cik Wahayu added that the members can browse through the FRIM’s website for the map. Certificate of participation will be provided to participants.

  5. Mr Jayasingh concern whether buses are allowed to go in, Cik Wahayu reply that buses are allow and she explain that on that day signage will be placed to show the direction of the venue. He added if the kids refuse to complete the trail is there any other optional ways to reach the end of the walk, Cik Wahayu assured that they are many optional ways.

  6. Ms Karen Kwan – RICOH join the meeting 20 minutes later. She apologize for coming late and further describe to all the members of her experience at FRIM, as a challenging and exciting place to visit and she strongly believe that the kids from the homes can successfully make it. 

  7. Mr. Kanaraj from Persatuan Kanak-kanak Cacat Akal Selangor & Wilayah Persekutuan  (PKCASWP) said that he is now seeking for donors to provide breakfast  for the  members, estimate around RM1,000.00 or above.
